Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Welcome to PhoneVyapar (referenced as "we", "us", "our", or the "Application"), a secondhand mobile store inventory management SaaS application represented by its developer and owner, Harshal Jariwala.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of both our registered retail mobile shop owners ("Dealers") and the customers who buy or sell secondhand mobile devices at their shops ("End Customers"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, and utilize device details and personal verification data to assist mobile shops in satisfying local police compliance requirements.
2. Information We Collect
To run our inventory ledger services and support compliance reporting under state police registers, we require the collection of specific dealer profile details, customer identification records, and device details:
A. Dealer / Shop Accounts
- Profile Information: Shop Name, Owner Name, Contact Mobile Number, Email Address, Physical Address, City, State, and GST identification details (optional).
- Authentication Data: Password hashes used to protect account logins. We do not store plain-text passwords.
B. Customer Identity & Verification (KYC) Data
When a Dealer registers a phone purchase from an End Customer, the Dealer collects the following KYC verification data on behalf of compliance needs:
- Personal Details: Customer Name, Mobile Number, Alternate Mobile Number, and Physical Address.
- Government Identification: Aadhaar Card number, Aadhaar front image, and Aadhaar back image.
- Selfie Image: A real-time face photo of the customer collected at the store counter.
- Digital Signature: A touch-screen signature capture verifying the transaction terms.
C. Handset & Device Information
- Device Properties: Brand, Model, Color, RAM/Storage config, Condition report (working displays, cameras, charging ports).
- Unique Identifiers: IMEI 1, IMEI 2 (where applicable), and Serial Number. These are critical to cross-check against stolen databases and populate state police logs.
- Media Attachments: Handset front photo, handset back photo, and purchase invoice/bill copy photo.
3. How We Use Data
We use the collected information only for purposes directly related to facilitating the business and compliance goals of the Dealers:
- Police Register Generation: Generating Excel and PDF sheets in standard formats required by local police departments to prove the source and validity of secondhand devices.
- IMEI Fraud Prevention: Checking entered device IMEIs against our central shared blacklist database. If another dealer has flagged an IMEI as stolen or counterfeit, other dealers receive a warning.
- Inventory & Ledger tracking: Helping dealers audit their active stock, sales, purchase margins, and net store profit margins.
- Cloud Storage & Backups: Syncing records safely to our central databases, preventing record loss in case of hardware theft or damage.
4. Device Permissions
To enable core app functions, our Android/iOS application requests permission to access the following native services on your smartphone:
- Camera Permission: Required to capture real-time selfies of customers, scan Aadhaar physical cards, and photograph secondhand handsets at the store counter.
- Photo Gallery / Media Access: Required to upload previously captured bills, invoice receipts, or device photos from the mobile gallery.
- Network / Storage Access: Required to upload transaction records, verify active subscription keys, and pull backup histories from our cloud server.
5. Account and Data Deletion Request
To ensure user control over personal information, we provide a secure online method for users to request the permanent deletion of their accounts and all associated data.
If you request account deletion, please note that we will permanently remove your shop profile, login credentials, and all recorded customer inventory ledgers. This action is irreversible.
To authenticate and submit a secure account deletion request immediately, please visit our dedicated account deletion portal.

All communication with our backend APIs is encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) channels. Stored images (Aadhaar cards, signatures, selfies) are stored securely under protected directories. Access is restricted through JWT (JSON Web Token) authentication mechanisms to verify that only authorized shop operators can read their records.
